Plant Powered Network Night
Thursday, November 29, 2018 | 6:30 - 9:00 PM
3332 Broadway, at W. 135th Street (Pediatrics 2000 clinic)
Join us for our next monthly gathering to explore the health benefits of whole food, plant-based nutrition. This month, we'll meet and welcome participants of a 10-day "jumpstart" program in Harlem who have begun to experiment with dietary change. We'll also host a forum where you can "Ask the Plant-Based Dietitians," featuring registered dietitians, Karin Gibson, Gail Mayer, and Iraina Rosenthal-Tawil.
Registrants will be invited to contribute to a healthy plant-based potluck, and everyone is asked to participate in a recipe swap: Bring a favorite recipe (written down!) to share with someone else in our community.
Plant Powered Manhattan welcomes Certified Plant-Based Nutrition Educator and Health Coach, Laurie Courage, who will share some strategies, recipes, and food to help us not only survive but thrive for the holidays. During her talk and food demonstration, Laurie will be sharing three plant-based gifts we can give ourselves this holiday season:
Registrants will be invited to contribute to a whole food, plant-based potluck dinner beginning at 6:30 PM. Details will be circulated to participants.
Laurie Courage is a certified instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and Dr. McDougall's Health and Medical Center and teaches Food for Life and Starch Solution Nutrition/Cooking classes on Long Island.
